This mural shows an area of the forest near my Colorado home. The aspens are big and tall and grasses and wildflowers grow thick on the path through the trees. As I walk through the path the light gets darker and the feeling is more intimate. As I pass through the darker area, I emerge into more open forest with more Ponderosa Pine trees. 

I have tried to show these trees, grasses and lighting when i applied the color. I have hoped to get the subtle, light colors of the aspen leaves and a bit of yellow morning sunlight on the aspen tree trunk. The grass on the trail has not yet been trampled by people because this trail is known only to a few people.

There are marks on the tree trunks where the deer have scratched the tree trunks to remove spring velvet and mark their territory with their scent. I have found shed antlers nearby.

This mural set is about 18" wide and 24" tall, depending on gaps between tiles. The 12 tiles weigh about 13 lbs. Each tile is about 5/16" thick.  The tiles are made of glazed cream-colored porcelain/stoneware ceramic, and are waterproof. These tiles can be mounted on walls and floors indoors and outdoors. 

Please see the Mounting Methods Note in the hamburger menu at the top left of the home page for suggestions on semi-permanent attachment to wall surfaces or for suggestions on permanent attachment and grouting for wall and floor surfaces. 

In some of the photos below I have experimented with separation gaps between tiles of 0, 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", 1", 1-1/2". I like the effect of wider gaps. If the tiles were mounted with Command Strips on a wall, the wall color would be visible between the tiles. Also, since I could not add another photo here, I separated the Aspen Path #2 tiles by 2". Even that spacing is interesting to me.

The expense of shipping by USPS priority mail to anywhere within the contiguous USA is included in the cost of this mural set. I do not presently ship tiles outside of the contiguous states of USA.
